For whom?
Student life is exciting, but expectations are high and your hometown is often far away. Sometimes you will experience mental health problems during this unstable and challenging phase of life, while you are simultaneously trying to discover yourself (and perhaps your sexual- and/or gender identity). Research by the Trimbos Institute shows that (in 2023) 44% of all students in the Netherlands experienced anxiety and/or depression. Due to my own study period at home and abroad, I know all too well what is expected of students and I know the mental challenges that might come with it.
My practice is open to students (18 years and older) with:
- anxiety disorders
- mood disorders
- obsessive-compulsive disorders
- trauma-related disorders
- complex grief problems
- depersonalization-derealization disorder
- ADHD and/or ASD
- gender dysphoria.
In addition, I offer help with the following - not reimbursed by the health insurer - problems: work-related complaints (burn-out), sleep problems, sexual disorders and relationship problems.
Students with the following criteria are unfortunately not eligible for my practice:
- Age under 18
- Psychosis or serious suicidality
- Addiction problems / substance dependency
- Eating disorder
- Forensic problems
- If more care than one therapy session per week is required
